BIOGRAPHY Born in Närpes on the west coast of Finland, Dani started playing the piano at the age of five.
He studied at the Kuula institute in Vaasa and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. Dani played at Carnegie Hall, Bally’s Casino in Las Vegas, After three years in CA, Dani moved to New York. He studied composition, orchestration and Dani now lives in his native country of Finland. He has released three CD-s: “Of Water and Sand”, “Travelogue”, and his latest solo piano CD “For Sleepless Nights”. Dani works as a pianist, composer and studio musician. He has been the band leader for TV shows such as “Villa Wasa” and “Fångad av en sång”. Dani has worked with many singers, musicians, bands and choirs; for instance Jaki Graham, Nils Landgren, Noel Pointer, Willard Meeks, Janne Schaffer, Victoria Tolstoy, Lena Willemark, Triple & Touch, Charlotte Roel, LaGaylia Frazier, Floyd Adams, Josefin Nilsson, Mike Estes (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Frank Ådahl, Niklas Winter, Mika Mylläri, Maria Kalaniemi, Nina Åström, Chris Willis, Monty Jackson, Marika Krook, Sofia Källgren, Linda Lampenius, Marianne Maans, Art Mapa… Dani has written music for Swedish director Kjell Sundvall’s feature film “Vinnare och förlorare” (Winners and losers), for TV programs such as “Strömsö”, “Kotikatu”, “Relationskliniken”, “Skolmusik”, “Udda upplevelser-hisnande berättelser”, “Religious apartheid” … Dani also works as a composer and producer for UK music production company ”3rd Precinct”. He also plays and tours regularly with his jazz trio/quartet. His trio just did a successful tour in the US, a tour called “Art and Music from the top of the World”, a project that also featured Finnish-Swedish artist Peter Borotinskij´s paintings. |
